{"id":10351,"date":"2024-04-05T11:06:54","date_gmt":"2024-04-05T09:06:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/copolad.eu\/?p=10351"},"modified":"2024-04-05T12:40:38","modified_gmt":"2024-04-05T10:40:38","slug":"uruguay-promotes-national-plans-on-problematic-drug-use-among-persons-deprived-of-liberty","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/copolad.eu\/en\/uruguay-promotes-national-plans-on-problematic-drug-use-among-persons-deprived-of-liberty\/","title":{"rendered":"Uruguay promotes national plans on problematic drug use among persons deprived of liberty"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>COPOLAD III accompanies the Government of Uruguay in the design of National Plans to address problematic <b>drug use in persons subject to criminal sanctions, with a gender and harm reduction perspective .The processs is in full accordance with public policies on drugs, health and penal execution<\/b>, as well as with the principles of public health <b>and human rights.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The problematic use of drugs by persons in prison and alternative measures i<b>s a constant risk factor,<\/b> not only for the fulfillment of the purpose of the penal execution measures, but also for the prevention of recidivism and relapse into illicit activities.<\/p>\n<p>During the working day, COPOLAD III presented the work process and methodology for the development and approach to problematic drug use in Uruguay: <b>contributions for an inter-institutional diagnosis.<\/b> As part of the conference, working tables<b> were held for reflection and discussion on the diagnosis for addressing problematic drug use in penal execution.<\/b> Spanish official <b>Beatriz Oliva Gonz\u00e1lez participated in the launching of the work, sharing the experience of the &#8220;Victoria Kent&#8221; Public Social Integration Center<\/b> in Madrid.
