On February 14, experts from the Caribbean Community Implementation Agency for Crime and Security (CARICOM IMPACS) will participate in an online meeting aimed at promoting a bi-regional technical exchange on forensic capacity between Europe and Latin American and Caribbean (LAC) countries. Organized by European Drugs Agency (EUDA), it will focus on the results of the COPOLAD III program in this area.
The session will address the following issues:
- An exchange of best practices in network development and forensic analysis.
- A presentation of a report on the chemical concealment of cocaine.
- Highlights of a forensic capacity mapping exercise in the LAC area.
COPOLAD III program collaborates with CARICOM IMPACS in the Caribbean by providing training, both face-to-face and online, on synthetic drugs and online trade in psychoactive substances; modus operandi of drug trafficking networks in the Caribbean-EU route, and measures of patrimonial prevention.
